once again i'm a teenie tiny bit late with my mantra monday post... you see i've been debating. thinking things over, through and through. and i've decided to take a short bloggy blogland break. for a month or so, not too long. and actually i'll be taking a bit of a break from all media... a media cleanse if you will.

there are so many things that i feel like i don't have the time to really get into lately: some paintings sitting around waiting to be completed, some fun projects i've been eager to get my hands into, my yoga practice (eeeks!!!). and so i think a bit of time locked up in my studio instead of on the computer or watching tv... you know how it goes...

but i won't be too long...

i'll miss you too...

as for my mantra mondays, i'll still be creating my mantra cards and if you have been creating them too i so so SO encourage you to continue. i'll have a big catch up mantra monday post when i re-emerge in blogland this summer and we can check out what affirmations have been manifested through art in my bloggy absence.

i think her post is so on the spot when she says that we could so benefit from chosing a mantra or affirmation that we actually believe in and can work with. no sense putting ourselves down and repeating words that don't have truth within our hearts... sometimes rearranging a word or two can make a word of a difference in how you see an affirmation and how it resonates within your being.

and the wonderfully talented serena presents us with a very awesome mantra for this week - seeing and choosing joy in our everyday moments... and her mantra card for last week really touched me, as i have for as long as i can remember struggled with the feeling that i wasn't making a "big enough" difference in the world... as you might have read in this post as well as others. this card by serena reminds me that we truly can make a positive difference just by being ourselves and never underestimating the small gestures... thank YOU serena!!! such a beautiful mantra to keep close to our hearts!!!

UPDATE: oh my oh my where has the week gone to??? eeekks!!! i hope you all had a fabulous easter weekend filled with lots LOTS lots of chocolate (tee hee!!!) and adventures!!! i was out of town to visit the mister's family and then when we got back i was extremely busy with celebrating my birthday!!! hee hee!!! yep you heard right, it was my birthday this week!!! i'm known for drawing out the festivities all week if not all month!!! yay yay yay!!!

so with all this celebrating... i'll be back here on monday with this and next week's mantra monday contributors, as well as the winner for my super mini tiny mantra giveaway!!! the box is for a project in my goddess journey circle and the henna arm was an experiment i conducted to test out a new henna recipe formulation. stains not as dark as i was hoping, but was great to work with. and if you think that doing henna on your own arm is easy think again!!! ha ha ha!!!

There are many reasons for why a gathering of people in a circle is powerful. A circle is a shape that is found repeatedly throughout the natural world, and it is a symbol of perfection. We recreate this perfect shape when we join others to form a circle. Being in a circle allows us experience each other as equals. Each person is the same distance apart from the next participant, and no one is seated higher than or stands apart from others in a circle. From tribal circles to the mythical round table of King Arthur, the circle has been the shape adopted by gatherings throughout history.

The circle is acknowledged as an archetype of wholeness and integration, with the center of a circle universally understood to symbolize Spirit - the Source. When a group of people come together in a circle, they are united. This unity becomes even more powerful when each person reaches out to touch a neighbor and clasps hands. This physical connection unites thought and action, mind and body, and spirit and form in a circle. Because a circle has no beginning and no end, the agreement to connect in a circle allows energy to circulate from one person to the next, rather than being dissipated into the environment.

Like a candle used to light another candle, the connection with spirit that results when one person joins hands with another is greater than if each person were to stand alone. People who take part in a circle find that their power increases exponentially while with the group. Like a drop of water rippling on the surface of a pond, the waves of energy produced in a circle radiate outward in circular motion. While one person may act like a single beacon that emanates light, a circle of people is like a satellite dish that sends out energy. There is power in numbers, and when the commitment is made by many to face one another, clasp hands, and focus on one intention, their circle emanates ripples of energy that can change the world.

ok, so i have reached new levels of blogland delinquency!!! it's mantra monday and i have no mantra to show for it... not even scribbled on a restaurant napkin or something!!! on top of which i am terribly behind with my blogland bloggy visits!!! i've been soooooo out of this world busy this past month, with real world stuff, with new studio projects and with deadlines... i'll be a bit sporadic in the next month as well, as things slowly wind down for me. i WILL be here every mondays for mantra monday, so if you are a contributor or want to be a contributor, i'll still be welcoming your wonderful mantra/affirmation cards!!! yay yay yay!!!

a quick little sneaky hello

a quick hello to let you all know that i have added spots to my goddess journey circle in my etsy shop. or you can check out this post and sign up through the pay now button.

less than two weeks away until fabulous circle magic begins!!! yay yay yay!!!
i am SO very excited!!! are you called to join me???

here are the full details...

what: a fabulously magical women's circle, looking at our goddess selves and investigating HER in our everyday life. this circle will be more of an exploration of the goddess archetypes in ourselves with different topics each week accompanied by exercises, journal prompts, meditations, discussion questions, super fun projects and much much more... ALSO this circle will bring together like minded goddesses so we can all share and learn from each others experiences and point of views. it is my hope that with this circle, a fabulous community of beautiful goddesses can be formed that will last beyond this circle!!!

the format of this goddess circle will be on a private, password protected blog, that will only be available to goddess circle participants. every week i will be posting a BIG juicy information packed post with

(1) main topic of the week
(2) discussion questions & exercises
(3) affirmation
(4) meditation
(5) project(s)
(6) light & shadow exploration

there will also be follow up posts during the week and special posts for full and new moons during the course of the circle. participants will be able to discuss and receive support in the comment section of the blog, as well as email me directly for additional help and support at any time. everything presented during this journey is completely optional...

NO previous experience is required... all information will be provided for exercises and the projects will required simple household and craft items.

when: begins sunday march 1st 2009, and will run for 12 consecutive weeks.
so you get 12 magical posts filled with goddess adventures!!!

cost: $42 USD
must be paid in full by march 1st to participate. sign up will be open until the beginning of the circle.
all participants will be emailed the blog address as well as the password on march 1st.
