so what's a gal to do when she comes down with a serious case of the winter blahs? it was the end of february, everyone is down with the sickies, and things are looking a little bleak... well this gal jumped onto to internet and bought herself a few special treasures. and they've arrived!
the gorgeous vintage tin above came from pat over at zen crafting
pat's crewel stones just emanate serenity and healing, so i knew the minute i could get my hands on one i would jump at the chance. which i did over at haiti by hand. the wonder stone having such an interesting story behind it's creation, was just the thing to sooth my blahs. it's weight and softness feel so great in my hands and pat puts such attention to detail in her craft that i am just in aw!
pat also included this special surprise below, which i have framed, what a sweetheart! there was more to the package, but i am awful at document it all, as i'm way (way) to excited to get things opened up and to discover every single thing...
next on the list of fabulous goodies, is a super awesome package from lil fish studios. including a wool felted terrarium (below) and acorn brooch (further below). my picture of the terrarium is only so so as the afternoon sun was flooding the room (yay sun!) so check out lisa's beautiful blog to see her awesome detailed work. i did try my best to capture the magic of lisa's mushrooms, but my pictures truly doesn't make it justice.
and a super duper sweet surprise!
lisa puts so so much love in her creations, you can tell in a second by just holding her pieces. there is definitly magic there!
so i place these objects of healing and magic in my treasure box. actually i've been calling it my medicine box. not medicine in the contemporary definition, but in the holistic view that everything can hold medicine (healing) if you give it that power. i like this concept alot and these treasures certainly have some happy vibes to them!
the other object in my medicine box: a quartz crystal, wooden owl, journal scroll and wooden mala (in pouch)...
what objects do you hold dear that brings you healing and comfort?
feeew! this has been the longest post in quite a while, what fun! be back later this week with my 100th post giveaway announcement (which i am a bit tardy as this is now my 103rd post)...
